News from the Convention

Hello fellow seniors,

We are pleased to announce that the Biennial Convention of the Liberal Party of Canada, held in Montreal last weekend, was a great success. We had a full room at our Annual General Meeting. Our members had the chance to hear an engaging speech by the Hon. John McCallum, who was the guest speaker for the occasion.

Changes were also brought to the SLC Constitution. The Seniors’ Commission added the position of Communication Chair to their executive. The person who will assume this new position will play a crucial role within the SLC executive with a view to encourage seniors to take an active part in promoting their commission by keeping them up to date on current events that are taking place all across Canada and the achievements of their peers in the community.

It is also very important that all senior members of the LPC try to reach out to friends or family in order to make the commission grow and flourish. Convincing only one person to join in the course of a year will makes a huge difference.

Sincerely,

The SLC executive
